Experience Cat Island

Welcome to Cat Island

Cat Island Bahamas: A mesmerizing, remote, enchanted island steeped in rich history, culture, adventures, nature, and of course, white sand beaches.

Cat Island is located in azure blue waters of the Bahamas. It is southeast of Nassau and the largest in a chain of Out Islands but has remained virtually untapped by overcrowding and tourism. Dense in tropical forests and white, pink and even yellow sand beaches there is plenty of room to roam. The Out Islands are a grouping of islands that make up over 85% of the Bahamas. They are just waiting for the adventurer to discover everything a tropical island has to offer.

Cat Island is about 77 km of untouched beaches—the perfect setting for adventures, romantic getaways, fishing excursions, kayaking, hiking and more!

Hiking

Climb Mt. Alvernia locally known as Como Hill. Mt. Alvernia is highest point in the Bahamas standing at 206 ft. At the top you will find the Hermitage built in 1939 by Father Jerome. The Hermitage is a small monastery where he could escape the world. The 360 degree view of Cat Island is well worth the climb.
